Hey, I’m Heather.
A certified paediatric sleep consultant in Toronto building personalized sleep plans for tired families, and sticking with you until they work.
My Approach
Personalized
It’s not a one-size-fits all solution. Every plan starts with your baby's age and temperament, and your family's values, and builds from there. You get a plan designed for the child in front of you, not a template..
Judgment-free
No cry-it-out-or-else. I work with methods ranging from gentle to intermediate, and we choose together, at a pace that feels right for everyone. Including you. If you cannot stand hearing your baby cry, you still have real options here.

FAQ
-
I'm a mom myself. I've lived the 2 a.m. wake-ups, so nothing you tell me will shock me. Practically, it means no rigid programs: I'm trained in methods ranging from gentle to intermediate, and we build your plan around your baby's temperament and your comfort level.
-
Daily check-ins. You share how the night and naps went, and I adjust the plan in real time. Sleep training rarely moves in a straight line, and the support exists so a rough night two doesn't become a reason to quit on night three.
-
Yes, and it's more common than you'd think. We talk through both of your concerns and choose a method you can both stand behind.
-
Almost always, yes. Most failed attempts come down to a method that didn't fit the baby, an inconsistent schedule underneath it, or stopping on night three. We look at what happened last time and build a different plan.
-
Yes. Where your baby sleeps now is the starting point, not a disqualification. We'll talk about where you want to end up and build a plan that gets there gradually and safely. No judgment about how you got here.
-
With an age-appropriate method and a healthy baby, yes. The research consistently shows no long-term harm, and real benefits for babies and parents. I'm trained through the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting, and if anything sounds medical (loud snoring, breathing pauses, poor weight gain), I'll send you to your pediatrician before we start.

Yes. Newborn sleep shaping is about foundations, not training: a safe sleep setup, a day and night rhythm, and realistic expectations for the first months. Parents who set this up early usually have a much easier four-month mark.
